Lapidary Classes

Instituted in February 1973 by Barney Miller.

Club members built the work shop and the OMS furnished the equipment. Classes began in March 1974. Donated to the Senior Citizens Organization at that time. Instructors were Barney Miller and Charles Azevedo. The classes terminated in the year 2000.

    Lapidary Classes were held each Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. to noon, and 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., and on Wednesday from 6:30 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. during September through June each year in the Lapidary Shop at the Elwin Mussell Senior Center, 510 E. Park, Santa Maria. Instructor is Marshall Reeves.

    Jewelry Classes were held from September through June each year.

Note: All classes have been suspended while we look for a new location.
