OMS Adopt-a-Hiway Committee

  Adopt-a-Highway - Wayne Mills, Co-ordinator

About every two months, the OMS cleans a two-mile stretch of Hiway 166, east of US101. This community spirited activity was started and organized with the leadership of Buck Strader (deceased 1998). The OMS is continuing the task and deserves our full support. The highway clean-up is held on the third Saturday of odd numbered months unless otherwise noted in the previous month's bulletin. Highway clean-up volunteers receive coffee, snacks and good conversation at a local restaurant, and get a chance to win a neat, rock-related prize for their participation. Rewards are provided to attendees with a chance drawing of a neat prize. All Volunteers are appreciated.
